Communications Requirements
Overview
Communications activities are primarily a municipal responsibility under the Build Communities Strong Fund Community stream - but AMO is here to help. Municipalities are encouraged to report projects to be financed by the Fund to AMO at the earliest opportunity to facilitate communications planning. For more information on communications and signage requirements as well as tips for getting the most out of your communications activities, view our Communications Guide.
Project Signage
Signs help people recognize BCSF-CS investments in their community. Templates and guidelines are available on Canada's website. View our Signage Examples Guide for more help.
There are two points of information municipalities are required to provide for signage.
1. A project title (In both French and English)
2. Logos for all relevant parties in the funding recognition bar.
Additionally, all logos applied to the funding recognition bar for all signage must be of roughly equal size, the current template has may size down your file. To fix this please resize your image to 6000x1440p.

For more information on populating your signage please refer to the signage examples guide or contact the BCSF-CS team.
Media Events & Announcements
Municipalities are required to have regular announcements on projects that are benefiting from BCSF-CS funding. AMO has resources available to help plan and execute a public event, news release, or other communications opportunities. Contact us to see how we can work together.
Other Communications Opportunities
AMO encourages municipalities to promote the Build Communities Strong Fund Community stream through websites, social media and other innovative methods that are low cost and have high impact. Contact us to see how we can work together.
