Communications Requirements

Overview

Communications activities are primarily a municipal responsibility under the Canada Community-Building Fund - but AMO is here to help. Municipalities are encouraged to report projects to be financed by the Fund to AMO at the earliest opportunity to facilitate communications planning. For more information on communications and signage requirements as well as tips for getting the most out of your communications activities, watch our Communications Crash Course or view our Communications Guide.

Project Signage

Signs help people recognize Canada Community-Building investments in their community. Templates and guidelines are available on Infrastructure Canada's website in both English and French. View our Signage Examples Guide for more help.

Media Events & Announcements

Municipalities are required to have regular announcements on projects that are benefiting from Canada Community-Building funding. AMO has resources available to help plan and execute a public event, news release, or other communications opportunities. Contact us to see how we can work together.

Other Communications Opportunities

AMO encourages municipalities to promote the Canada Community-Building Fund through websites, social media and other innovative methods that are low cost and have high impact. Contact us to see how we can work together.
