Ajax’s Quaker Meeting House Renovations

The Town of Ajax has invested CCBF funding in renovating its Quaker Meeting House.

Erected in 1867, the year of Confederation, the Quaker Meeting House is a designated historical property.

Renovations have been completed to the building including accessible washroom upgrades and rehabilitation to the foundation, structure, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.

Masonry and roof repairs, as well as interior finishes upgrades including flooring and painting, have also been completed.

This work has helped improve a significant building for many years to come, and aligns with the municipality’s drive to preserve historical sites and architecture and promote the cultural history of the Town of Ajax.
