Award-Winning Road Rehabilitation and Accessibility Improvements in Milton
A $1.4 million investment from the CCBF helped the Town of Milton undertake a 15 lane-kilometre rehabilitation effort across the town in 2024.
The project used innovative paving technology and included repairs to storm sewers, sidewalk replacements, new AODA compliant street corners, and the addition of paved shoulders to accommodate pedestrians and cyclists.
This rehabilitation work is essential to prevent road surfaces from deteriorating to a point where they require disruptive major reconstruction. It ensures that roads provide a safe and comfortable environment to meet the community’s current and future needs.
The quality work done on Savoline Blvd. won a 2024 Municipal Paving Award from the Ontario Good Roads Association.
