Brightening Up Brampton

Comprehensive energy retrofits to Susan Fennell Sportsplex are helping the City of Brampton move towards its net-zero carbon emissions goal by 2050. 

More than $8.7 million from the CCBF is being invested in the project. The work involves LED lighting retrofits, ice rink refrigeration system replacements, pool heating system improvements, rooftop solar panel installations, and HVAC upgrades.

Brampton’s recreational facilities use a significant amount of energy, and these upgrades are part of a large movement by the City to improve energy efficiency and help create a cleaner environment.
