Caledon Creates New Connections
The Caledon Trailway is a cornerstone of the Town’s active transportation system, offering over 35 kilometres of scenic pathways that connect neighborhoods, parks and natural areas.
Caledon receives more than $2.5 million each year from the Canada Community-Building Fund to create or improve infrastructure like the trail network. In 2025 the Town used part of its funding to invest in better safety, accessibility, and comfort for trail users.
One key upgrade was the rehabilitation of a pedestrian bridge over highway 10, one of the Town’s busiest roads. The bridge is critical link in the trail network and spans 36 metres (the length of four school buses).
The project restored and strengthened the bridge, and supports residents’ quality of life, brings visitors to local businesses, and provides an easy way to enjoy Caledon’s natural beauty.
