CCBF Supports Town of Lincoln's Annual Roads Program

The Town of Lincoln’s road network is a municipal core asset, and the annual roads program aims to proactively address road issues, improve roads and streets throughout the community, and maintain a good level of service.

Lincoln is one of the fastest growing communities in the Region of Niagara, with a population of more than 25,000 people. The Town oversees more than 300 km of roads, including 49 bridges and 130 culverts.

In 2023, Lincoln invested $800,000 from the Canada Community-Building Fund into the rehabilitation of approximately 22 km of the Town’s road network. Sections of the roads slated for improvement were rated as being in poor condition, requiring surface treatment, complete resurfacing or repaving.

Each year, investments from the CCBF help municipalities across Ontario revitalize core infrastructure like roads, bridges and culverts, supporting the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of communities while also supporting growth.
