Chatham-Kent Wraps Up Bridge Upgrade

Chatham-Kent’s transportation network includes more than 850 bridges.

Minutes away from Highway 401, Third Line Bridge is essential to the local community, serving as a key route for farmers. Using $900,000 from the CCBF, the municipality extended the lifespan of the bridge by approximately 40 years.

The rehabilitation process included replacing critical joints and supports that uphold the integrity of the structure, installing new guiderails, renewing the bridge deck.

This project improved roadside safety for residents, while keeping Chatham-Kent’s transportation network flowing smoothly for years to come.
