Connecting Brantford Across the Grand River

The City of Brantford is investing $6.9 million from the BCSF Community stream in two important pedestrian bridges that strengthen active transportation connections across Grand River.

The TH&B Bridge has completed rehabilitation, extending the lifespan of the popular multi-use trail crossing while also incorporating community-inspired public art.

The City is also rehabilitating Brant’s Crossing bridge, a key link in the Hub of Ontario Trails and the Trans Canada Trail network. The upgraded bridge will feature a wider deck, enhanced lighting, and new scenic lookouts, and the structure was raised by more than a metre to better accommodate winter events on the river.

The project will provide safer, more accessible connections between neighbourhoods, parks, and downtown Brantford for years to come.
