Dryden Rehabilitates Highway 17

The City of Dryden is in the midst of rehabilitating a portion of Highway 17 using investments from the Canada Community-Building Fund.

Several sections of Highway 17, between Dryden's east welcome sign and Marguerite Street, were determined to be in poor condition. An annual road survey helped establish which areas of the highway required immediate attention, and in 2021, Dryden began a two-year rehabilitation project.

The improvements will be complete by December of 2022, and will enhance safety for residents and travellers. As well, these investments will significantly reduce the continuous maintenance required to cold patch the original deteriorated asphalt road surface.
