Emergency Repairs Strengthen Storm Sewers in Halton Region

Halton Region completed repairs to replace a collapsed storm sewer pipe responsible for road drainage at the intersection of Guelph Line and Harvester Road in Burlington.

Supported by $464,000 from the Canada Community-Building Fund, the project ensured the continued delivery of safe and reliable stormwater drainage, helping prevent future flooding and ground instability for nearby properties.

These improvements ensure smooth access for commuters, transit users, businesses, and residents. To minimize disruption, most work was done overnight and on weekends.

Halton is investing in infrastructure across the Region as part of its Building a Better Halton program. Check out the latest projects at halton.ca/construction or follow @regionofhalton across all social media platforms.
