Expanding Water Infrastructure to Support New Housing in Mattawa

Mattawa is constructing a new water reservoir that will have increased capacity to serve a new subdivision of approximately 300 homes. 

The existing reservoir did not have capacity to adequately meet the Town’s drinking water and fire suppression needs as the community grows. 

Work also involves the installation of water and sewer mains and a storm water retention pond. The $5 million project is being supported by a multi-year investment from the BCSF Community Stream.
