Extending the Life of a Key Bridge

Guided by recommendations from the Municipality’s asset management plan, the Municipality of Middlesex Centre uses its $620,000 annual allocation of the Build Communities Strong Fund – Community stream on the renewal of priority bridges and culverts.

This includes $345,000 in 2026 towards rehabilitation of a bridge on Fourteen Mile Road.

The project helps keep this important transportation route safe and reliable for daily traffic. Work included concrete repairs, bridge deck waterproofing, patching, milling, and a new deck overlay.

Funding from the BCSF-CS is helping strengthen transportation infrastructure and improve long-term safety and resiliency for residents, businesses, and the agricultural community.
