Federal Investment Supports Community Centre Upgrades in Kitchener

The BCSF Community Stream contributed more than $1.86 million to support the revitalization of outdoor spaces at the Centreville Chicopee Community Centre in Kitchener.

Kitchener receives more than $8 million of predictable, yearly federal funding for infrastructure through the BCSF-CS, critical for building infrastructure that supports its growing population.

This investment supported a redesigned splashpad, playground, sports courts, and multi-use pathways, as well as upgrades to aging infrastructure.

Projects like this one strengthen neighbourhood connections, encourage active lifestyles, and support vibrant communities.

The reopening of these upgraded outdoor amenities highlights how federal infrastructure investments can help communities build lasting, positive impacts for current and future residents.
