Fostering Safe and Efficient Transportation in Lennox and Addington

The County of Lennox & Addington spans 2,700 square kilometres and therefore has a large transportation network which includes 458 kilometres of roads, 50 bridges, 18 culverts, and two roundabouts.

In 2025, the County used $1.5 million from the CCBF to improve the safety and longevity of four kilometres of County Road 6.

Several key enhancements were made in accordance with their Asset Management Plan to widen the roadway, improve sightlines, upgrade drainage by replacing culverts, and add new guiderails, curbs, and gutters. These all contribute to a safer and more durable environment for commuters, commercial drivers, and visitors to the community.
