Future-Ready Infrastructure in Muskoka
Reliable water and wastewater services are essential to every community. In the District of Muskoka, a major project is helping ensure those services remain strong for decades to come.
With support from the Build Communities Strong Fund - Community Stream, the municipality is undergoing a multi-year initiative to replace underground water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure that has served the community since the 1940s.
Upgrades also include a new multi-use trail connection, new sidewalks and curbs, upgraded intersections and traffic signals, a new downtown pedestrian crossing, and modern street lighting along the corridor.
These investments will enhance accessibility, support active transportation, and improve safety for all road users.
Together, these improvements will help keep the community connected and support future growth.
