Grey County Reinforces Heavily Used Road

Grey County has experienced steady growth in the last decade which comes with increased road use by commuters, tourists, and the agriculture industry.

The County invested more than $450,000 from the CCBF to strengthen a section of Grey Road 16 and improve its durability. They also adjusted the road grade to improve sightlines for turning vehicles and reduce the risk of collisions.

The stretch of road provides direct access to a local agricultural market and is an important route for travelers visiting the Bruce Peninsula, so the summer months have a particularly high volume of road users.

The upgrades provide essential support to the community’s current and future transportation needs.
