Guelph Upgrades Eight Playgrounds across the City
Eight playgrounds across the City of Guelph are getting upgraded thanks to investment from the BCSF Community Stream of more than $3.7 million to date.
This predictable, yearly federal funding is essential for growing communities like Guelph to invest in their future.
The parks include Goldie Park, Gosling Gardens Park, Herb Markle Park, Howden Crescent Park, Sunny Acres Park, University Village Park, Dovercliffe Park, and Howitt Creek Park.
Some new features include upgraded play structures, accessible swings, rubber ground surfaces, new trees, and more.
Designs for many of the playgrounds involved public surveys so the local community could provide input into which features they wanted to see included.
The upgrades help create accessible and welcoming gathering places for residents of all ages. They enhance safety, accessibility, and enjoyment for the whole community.
