Hearst Purchases Waste Collection Vehicle

Quicker collection times, less trips to the landfill, and better durability are all benefits of the new waste collection vehicle purchased by the Town of Hearst.

Waste collection may not be the most popular area of investment, but upgrades like this one make a big impact on service delivery. The vehicle is a crucial part of municipal operations and impacts residents every day. 

With a simplified and reinforced design, it will reduce maintenance demands and ensure reliable service for many years to come. 

Collection time has been reduced by approximately one hour per day as a result, and with the vehicle’s continuous use the new durability will prove valuable in avoiding disruptions.

The purchase was made possible by an investment of more than $190,000 from the BCSF Community Stream.
