Increasing Durability to Prepare for Growth

The Town of Erin is preparing for expected growth in the next 5 years and is investing in more durable infrastructure to accommodate for greater traffic volumes. 

This includes full replacements of aged culverts like one under the Town’s 8th Line. The replacement involves an environmental assessment, engineering design, and geotechnical investigation to ensure increased durability and protection of the asset for the long term.

Originally built in 1910, a full replacement was recommended as opposed to a previously planned rehabilitation, with increased future use in mind.

More than $600,000 from the BCSF Community Stream is being invested by the Town to fund the project.
