Indoor Pool Facility Rehabilitated in Perth

The building housing the Town of Perth’s indoor pool received a facelift thanks to the Canada Community-Building Fund.

The community pool is a well-used space, hosting competitive swim meets, recreational swimming and safety training, and is used by residents young and old.

Unfortunately, the building housing the pool had deteriorated and required attention. In 2021, the Town of Perth used investments from the Canada Community-Building Fund to upgrade several sections of the building, installing new insulation and cladding on the outside.

This project was identified in the community’s asset management plan as a priority, and was able to move forward thanks to funding. With this additional funding, the town was able to not only complete this project, but also redirect its own funds toward other critical items identified in the asset management plan.

Now that the building has been rehabilitated, it’s ready to be enjoyed by Perth’s 6,000 residents once again.
