LaSalle Converts Boat Storage into Waterfront Event Centre

Creative planning in the Town of LaSalle is bringing local residents together in droves. 

The Town invested $6 million from the CCBF to convert a dry boat storage facility into a multi-purpose event centre that welcomed more than 40,000 guests in its first year of operation.

Community events of all kinds have been hosted at the event centre, bringing in residents of all ages to interactive exhibits, seasonal celebrations, and farmers’ markets.

They also added a new event plaza beside the building to facilitate indoor and outdoor activities all year-round. These spaces form a cultural hub for the community with social, educational, and commercial benefits.
