Making Room for New Development in Whitchurch-Stouffville
New water pipes under Main Street in Whitchurch-Stouffville are making way for greater housing density and new development in the area.
The CCBF-funded project involved replacing aging infrastructure above and below ground, creating important connections. New water pipes, sidewalks, streetlights, and even trees were installed along with a freshly paved road.
The investment of $2 million over four years will increase capacity for new housing units.
It brings long-term durability to the physical street, better connection for all residents and visitors to downtown, and increased capacity for new housing units.
