New Lion’s Pavilion Will Better Serve Riverdale Park

A new community pavilion at Riverdale Park will gave New Tecumseth and its residents a place to hold local events.

The Town is investing more than $80,000 in Canada Community-Building Funds into the project.

The new structure will replace the current Lion’s Pavilion, which has been the location of many municipal and community events since 1967. The current structure has served the community for more than 50 years, far beyond its expected 30-year lifespan.

The new pavilion will be moved to a more central location at the park, making it a prime location for picnics near the splash pad and playground. The municipality also hopes to host Canada Day and other community events at the new location.
