Peterborough Renovates Arena Complex

Healthy Planet Arena is central to community recreation in the City of Peterborough and helps promote a healthy lifestyle for all.

Featuring a banquet hall and two ice rinks, the facility hosts 75 local organizations, schools, and community groups including hockey, lacrosse, figure skating, and more. It was used for a total of approximately 5,900 hours in 2025.

Using more than $5.1 million from the BCSF Community Stream, the City is making significant upgrades to the building’s heating and cooling system, refrigeration plant, dasher boards, and lighting. These are necessary investments that will benefit residents and keep the complex running smoothly for the long term.
