Preparing Local Infrastructure for Increased Demand 

The Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh is preparing to meet demand for two new housing developments.

With walking, cycling, and driving traffic all expected to increase along Westmount Line, the Township is investing more than $500,000 from the CCBF to keep everyone moving safely and smoothly.

The multi-year project is realigning the road for clearer sightlines, strengthening access to a popular rail trail, resurfacing the road, and replacing aging culverts to improve drainage.

Once complete, Westmount Line will offer safer travel for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians while supporting community growth and encouraging active transportation. The investment supports a safer, more connected community for years to come.
