Public Transit Station Improvements in Ottawa    

Ottawa is using the BCSF Community Stream to make significant investments in public transit.

Using part of their $66 million yearly allocation from the Fund, the City is upgrading LRT stations to better serve transit riders.

Work involves replacing the elevator at Blair station with two new ones, replacing existing shelters at Blair station with an overhead canopy and streamlined shelters, installing new signage and wayfinding infrastructure at newly constructed LRT stations, and installing 75 new information screens across multiple stations.

These upgrades support the City’s goals of improving travel choices, reducing congestion, and keeping people moving.
