Replacement of London's Victoria Bridge

London is investing in a stronger, more connected future, thanks to the Build Communities Strong Fund Community Stream.

Located in the heart of downtown London, Victoria bridge is an important connecting link across the Thames River. After nearly a century of service, it underwent a full replacement.

The City invested in major upgrades that benefit everyone who uses the corridor. New dedicated spaces for walking and cycling make travel safer and more accessible, drivers benefit from a smoother road surface, and improved connections to London’s active transportation network make it easier for residents to get around without a car.

Supported by predictable funding through the BCSF Community Stream, the project is improving mobility, accessibility, and sustainability. It is one of many initiatives supported by London’s $27 million yearly funding allocation that is helping create a more livable and affordable future for the City.
