Road Upgrades Help Residents, Businesses in Edwardsburgh-Cardinal

The Town of Edwardsburgh-Cardinal used Canada Community-Building Fund investments to upgrade crucial road infrastructure with a major local impact in 2021.

Two paving projects totalling $230,000 were completed this year.

The first was a residential cul-de-sac called Judy Place, an area that services six residential homes. The other was Commerce Drive in the community’s industrial park. This .6 kilometre stretch of roadway services seven commercial and industrial businesses. Two of these businesses are currently expanding, and important upgrades to the road will support increased commercial traffic in the area.

Both projects included pulverizing the existing pavement, adding gravel to enhance the grade of the roadway and application of asphalt. The Town also replaced two culverts on Commerce Drive.
