Sarnia Modernizes Fast-Growing Community Hub

Sarnia’s Clearwater Arena has expanded in recent years to be a vibrant multi-purpose community hub.

It hosts two ice rinks, a library, a transit terminal, and the Sarnia Sports Hall of Fame. The library and transit terminal were relocated to the site in 2024, bringing with them a need for increased functionality of the building.

Using a $200,000 investment from the CCBF, the City made several upgrades including roof repairs, elevator refurbishments, accessible washrooms, seating additions, and more. 

These improvements make the facility more welcoming and allow tens of thousands of annual visitors to continue to enjoy quality social time with their neighbours.
