South Frontenac Completes Bridge Replacement

The Township of South Frontenac invested $247,000 from the Canada Community-Building Fund into the replacement of Buck Bay Road bridge in 2022.

South Frontenac is a municipality north of the City of Kingston, and is home to more than 18,000 people. Much of the municipality is rural, including Buck Bay Road.

The new concrete bridge is wider than the previous structure, and spans 23 feet across a small creek that passes under the road. The new bridge footings were installed outside of the water limits and are secured deep into the ground. The concrete and steel structure of the bridge will last for many years.
