Street Reconstruction Project Underway in City of Belleville

The City of Belleville recently broke ground on a CCBF-funded road reconstruction project in the city’s east end.

Sections of Rollins Drive and Chelford Crescent are being rehabilitated to support recent residential growth in the area. Both streets are decades old, with Chelford Crescent originally constructed in the 1960s. In the years since, the area has seen substantial development and increased traffic. The reconstruction is extensive and includes new sidewalks and curbs, along with an overhaul of underground water and wastewater services.

Thanks to investments from the CCBF, residents will benefit from improved water services and safer roads and sidewalks. The project is slated for completion in November 2024.
