Trafalgar Road Upgrades Improve Traffic Flow for Motorists in Oakville

Halton Region recently announced completion of construction on a portion of Trafalgar Road, supported by Canada Community-Building Fund investments.

The municipality upgraded a section of road between Leighland Avenue and north of Hays Boulevard in Oakville, improving traffic flow for motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and transit users.

Halton Region invested $6.9 million in CCBF funds toward the project, which included widening the road to six lanes and adding new traffic signals, addition of sidewalks and off-road bike lanes, new bus stops and shelters, upgraded water infrastructure, new street lighting and landscaping, and finally, a new pedestrian bridge and bike path.
