Village of Braeside Sees Substantial Street Improvements

A portion of the road network serving the Village of Braeside has been rehabilitated thanks to the Canada Community-Building Fund.

The Township of McNab/Braeside, located in Renfrew County between Renfrew and Arnprior, invested it’s 2021 CCBF contributions into improving 1.22 kilometres of the village’s streets.

Braeside’s streets hadn’t seen substantial improvements in more than 30 years. Many of the streets were in poor condition, with inadequate drainage and surface deficiencies that drivers had to maneuver around for safety.

The municipality’s investments into drainage and surface improvements have made a huge difference, not only for drivers, but also for pedestrians. Improved roads include those leading to the John A. Gillies Recreation Centre – a hub in the community with a playground, baseball diamond, outdoor skating rink and 4,500 square-foot recreation centre.
