Water Treatment Plant Expanded in Lakeshore to Accommodate Growth

The Municipality of Lakeshore invested more than $8 million from the CCBF to increase the capacity of its wastewater system.

As the community grows there is increased demand for housing development, which requires additional service capacity for core infrastructure including water and wastewater treatment.

The project is one of the largest infrastructure investments in Lakeshore’s history and will result in capacity equal to 10 Olympic-sized swimming pools. The upgrades also help to reduce unwanted discharge from the plant, protecting local ecosystems and beaches.
