Watermain Improvements Benefit Residents in Orangeville

Residential properties in the Town of Orangeville are benefitting from the recent installation of a new watermain on Dawson Road near the centre of town. The stretch of road is a main route connecting to local commercial and industrial areas.

Using a CCBF investment of $647,000, the project was completed by the town in just a few months and ensures reliable delivery of high-quality drinking water.

Aging watermain infrastructure was replaced as it was approaching the end of its effective service life. The new pipe diameter is three times wider than it was previously, increasing the efficiency of water flow.

After upgrading the watermain underground, the above ground road was resurfaced with improved drainage making it more resilient to inclement weather. A nearby intersection was also improved to meet AODA accessibility requirements.
