Whitewater Region uses CCBF to Develop Master Transportation Plan
Easing traffic congestion, new development, and community infrastructure are all factors of municipal transportation planning.
Whitewater Region is using part of its $230,000 yearly allocation from the CCBF to develop a Master Transportation Plan.
In action, the plan will identify long-term goals for the performance of roads, bridges, sidewalks, culverts, and other infrastructure across the municipality, as well as the design and financial requirements to achieve them.
This is a key step to ensure time and resources are spent effectively and residents’ current and future needs are met. The plan helps to develop solutions for the future by assessing local infrastructure conditions and challenges. It supports a path to sustainability while considering the capacity needs of future development plans.
