CCBF Re-branded as the Build Communities Strong Fund Community Stream
On April 7th, the Build Communities Strong Fund (BCSF) was officially launched by the Government of Canada.
The former Canada Community-Building Fund (CCBF) is now the Community stream of the BCSF. Of the three streams under the Fund, the Community stream is the only one to be administered by the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO).
There are no changes to the existing 10-year agreement or allocation model. As with the CCBF, funding will be administered to 443 Ontario municipalities by AMO.
The stable and predictable funding continues to allow communities to make strategic long-term investments that support local needs and align with regional housing goals. There are 18 eligible categories of investment including roads, bridges, public transit, drinking water, and recreation facilities. By investing in long-term sustainability and growth, the Fund ensures healthier, more connected, and more resilient communities across the country.
Annual funding amounts can be found on our Allocations page, and a map of past and ongoing projects can be found on our Investments page.
