What does the Fund invest in?

  • Water and sewer pipes 
  • Streetlights 
  • Waste management facilities
  • Fibre optic cables

How does funding work?

  • Funding is determined by population of municipality (What exactly is a municipality?)
  • Regular payments are sent twice per year to municipalities
  • More than $2.5 billion administered across Canada each year
