Eligible Projects

Projects eligible for Canada Community-Building funding under this category are those that result in the construction, material enhancement or renewal of recreational facilities or networks.

Examples

Eligible projects under this category include (but are not limited to):

  • Constructing splash pads and playgrounds in a public park;
  • Expanding a recreation centre to add new facilities;
  • Establishing new paths, trails and boardwalks through a conservation area; and
  • Replacing an aging refrigeration system in an arena.
